About Pero Rights

Pero Rights is the slightly less challenging sister Pero Lefts. It occurs off the shores of Ratenggaro and Pero beaches, which is easily accessible by car. The wave is very tide dependent; it is too low and gets sketchy on the reef occasionally.

Since Pero waves are located in the island’s southwest, you need to fly into Tambolaka Airport in Southwest Sumba. You can rent a car or hire driver at the airport. You will need to drive approximateely 2.5 hours towards the southwest to catch the wave.
