To meet the rising demand for “raw luxury” travel, Tambolaka Airport (TMC) has completed its terminal expansions. The airport’s capacity has jumped from 90,000 to 350,000 passengers annually. This upgrade supports new charter flight potential from Jakarta and increased daily frequencies from Bali and Surabaya, facilitating Sumba’s projected leap in visitor numbers this year.
Last December, the airport had reported a record-breaking increase in daily flights from major airports across Indonesia. With the new expansion, the demand from this surge will also be successfully met.
