Premium Real Estate Development of a Gated Community with Bespoke Villas

We are developing a premium, sustainable gated community of bespoke villas to high design and construction standards, with shared facilities and independent power, water and wastewater systems. As MEP Engineer, you will coordinate mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for villas and shared facilities, from review of Detailed Engineering Design (DED) drawings through site quality supervision, commissioning and handover. You will report to the Project Manager.

Target start: 1 December 2026, or as soon as notice allows.

Key responsibilities

  • Review MEP Detailed Engineering Design (DED) drawings, shop drawings and specifications; coordinate services with architectural and structural designs and resolve installation interfaces.
  • Review equipment and material submissions for performance, coastal conditions and maintainability.
  • Supervise site installation quality for electrical distribution, HVAC, plumbing, water, wastewater, pool and fire protection systems, working with relevant specialists.
  • Coordinate building loads and power supply interfaces with the Solar PV Engineer.
  • Witness testing and commissioning, verify defect rectification, and review as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals and operator training for handover.

Essential requirements

  • Relevant engineering degree or diploma and valid SKK Konstruksi appropriate to the discipline and responsibilities.
  • Building services experience, typically 5–8 years, with a verifiable record of site installation, testing and handover.
  • Practical strength in mechanical or electrical services and ability to coordinate other MEP disciplines.
  • Working English for technical documents, discussions and reports; effective Bahasa Indonesia strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to be based in Sumba or work agreed extended site rotations, including commissioning.

Experience ranges are indicative; candidates with strong relevant experience and demonstrated results are encouraged to apply.

Preferred experience

Villa or resort projects, water and sewage treatment, pool plant, off-grid interfaces, AutoCAD or equivalent, and familiarity with SNI and PUIL.

Location and compensation

Full-time presence in Sumba is preferred. Extended site rotations followed by approximately one week at home may be agreed around project needs. Housing options may be provided. Market-level compensation will be determined after interview; housing, travel and rotation terms will be agreed as part of the package.
