Lapopu Waterfall
Lapopu Waterfall, located in the Manupeu Tanah Daru national parc in west Sumba, is a stunning uniquely shaped multilevel waterfall which cascades down from a 90 meters cliff. An hour drive from Waikabubak leads to the Lapopu Waterfall guard post where visitors can register and pay for the entrance to the national park. To get to the Lapopu waterfall, visitors will walk 500 meters along the Lapopu river banks, and cross a wooden bridge before reaching the bottom of the waterfall. Lapopu waterfall is a popular destination for both local and foreign tourists who visit Sumba, who can enjoy a swim in the crystal clear turquoise waters, and the fresh atmosphere of the surroundings. Surrounded by tall trees and a lush environment, Lapopu Waterfall offers a soothing ambiance to visitors.
