Located in the Pero Batang subdistrict, Balani Village is a picturesque gem in Kodi, Southwest Sumba Regency. As visitors enter, graves line the main pathway on both sides, contributing to the village’s serene atmosphere. Unlike other Kodi villages where graves encircle the entire area, Balani features graves only at the entrance, creating a less encumbered setting. With fewer than eight houses, Balani exudes tranquility, with no afternoon sounds of children playing. Its beauty is accentuated by lush greenery and coconut trees, providing a peaceful and verdant environment. The village is well-maintained, with cats and dogs often seen playing outside. The absence of sacred areas within the village allows for unrestricted exploration. Additionally, there is no entrance fee, making it an accessible destination for all. The village offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage, inviting visitors to experience its peaceful charm and picturesque landscapes.
