In anticipation of the massive influx of travelers for the Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran) season, Indonesian authorities have launched targeted safety reviews at key iconic sites. The initiative focuses on crowd management and visitor security at cultural heritage sites and nature attractions to ensure a secure experience as millions of local and foreign tourists are expected to move across the archipelago.
Last month, Indonesia’s Transportation Minister had announced that they expect over 143 million people to travel domestically for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday.
